With our own hands we have murdered more than a billion people. And, a more recent study indicates that we are closer to TWO BILLION babies murdered since 1973 – worldwide. The reality of that number is beyond my ability to grasp. But, you know, there’s something far, far worse than that. Far worse.
According to the Guttmacher Institute, seventy-two percent of women seeking abortions come from the church. When I saw that statement just moments ago, I was so shocked… my heart pounded. I couldn’t write. I couldn’t even look at the computer screen. Do you understand the implications of this statement?
Do you understand that it is the righteousness of God’s people that preserve the nation?
Do you know that when the people of God turn against God, the country falls?

If 72 percent of women seeking abortions in the United States are professing Christians, then we are doomed. If the number is half that, or a quarter, we are doomed. Our nation cannot be saved if our brothers and sisters in Christ are so wicked and evil.
So many of us know this verse:
If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. – 2 Chronicles 7:14
But, we forget the corollary:
When God’s people corrupt themselves, the nation dies.
“But wait,” you say. “Most of those Christians murdering their children are teenage girls who don’t know better.”
Sorry, but I happen to know better. I may not know the statistics, but I personally know of parents who were considered to be ‘good Christians’ who pressured their daughters to have an abortion. God help you, if you are one such parent.
We took the name of Christ as our Lord and Savior, called ourselves Christian and told everyone. Then we joined the world in their celebration of sex without consequences. We murdered our babies and told ourselves that God doesn’t care. We sneaked onto the pornography sites and went on to be unfaithful to our spouses. And we wonder at the destruction that is rolling down on us.
If you want to know who is to blame for the terrible times that are coming, look in the mirror.
We did this.
… and now, we pay the price.
