Airplane Radiation – Fukushima

Raise your hand if you do NOT want to know about risks.

Small, large, long, short, or just plain BIG, you want to know if there is a risk for doing something. You may still do it, but you at least know the risk.

For instance, I’m a Scuba diver. It’s been a long time since my last dive, but once a ‘diver’ always a ‘diver’. Anyway, the first thing that they tell you, when you are learning to Scuba dive, is the risk, and then they teach you what to do to minimize that risk. It’s one of the most dangerous sports in the world, and I almost didn’t come back from one of my dives (but, that’s another story). So, if you’re a diver, you know the risk of what you’re doing, and you do it anyway.

My point is that divers know the risks and know how to minimize them.

Sounds reasonable, right?

So, who is responsible for letting you know that there is a risk?

  • The government.
  • And, when they fail, the mainstream media.

So, have you heard anything about how much radiation you are being exposed to when you fly? Especially since the Fukushima disaster?

I did a search for news reports about radiation and air travel. I found nothing, except one tiny online newspaper published in Las Vegas, Nevada.

This is another sick example of what the mainstream media is doing to you. And, you have no idea they’re doing it. Welcome to Soviet America.

This is STAGGERINGLY bad news and shows, clearly and positively, that Fukushima Radiation is THICK in the atmosphere above even the Southern Hemisphere. It gets worse over North America and the U.S.

Note…and note carefully – a CPM (Counts Per Minute) reading of 100 is a mandatory HAZMAT Quarantine EMERGENCY in the State of California. Get that? The shocking readings shown in the photos below are what the passengers were breathing and fully-exposed to during the flights from Chile to Atlanta and then across the US to Portland, Oregon.

The US EPA is fully aware of this situation but does nothing to inform the flying public. The AIR over North America is heavily saturated with radiation from Fukushima Daiichi. The government’s response…Don’t Worry, Be Happy! Enjoy The Radioactive Friendly Skies! When many develop cancers in the years ahead, no one will connect these deadly dots.

Airplane Radiation: A Growing Concern

Airplane RadiationConventional wisdom says that airplane radiation is a moderate risk factor due to the fact that at higher altitudes, there is less protection from cosmic rays. Airplane radiation was an acceptable risk for occasional passengers and even frequent fliers.

Lately however, stratospheric radioactivity levels have risen, due to airborne dust particles of Plutonium-239, Cesium-137 and Uranium are raising new concerns about airplane radiation. The video below documents Geiger counter readings for 45 minutes of flight time on a trip from San Francisco to Honolulu. The video itself is quite boring, but it does indicate airplane radiation levels peak at 0.256mR/h which is more than a year’s allotment per hour. Means that on a typical 5-hour flight a person might receive 5 times the yearly safe level of background radiation. If it is a round trip, that would be 10 times the yearly safe level. If a person makes a total of 2 5-hour round trip flights with these measurements, they will have absorbed the maximum allowable yearly dose for radiation workers. So what does this mean?

Does this mean that you should stop flying?

I don’t know. This is for you to decide. But, that’s not the point.

The point is that you are being lied to. Deliberately. Methodically. Callously.

(And yes, I do consider it a lie to withhold vital information.)

And, if they are lying to you about this… If they are withholding the truth from you about Fukushima and the radiation risk in air travel…

What else are they lying about?


[ADDENDUM: According to my calculations, when flying, you are getting 60 mrem/hour of radiation, post Fukushima. Before, it was 1 mrem/hour. That is an increase of 60 times or 6000%. To help you understand this, a chest X-Ray is 10 mrem per film – according to the Health Physics Society. So, when you are flying, you are getting the equivalent of six chest X-Ray shots per hour. – JL]
