Very little in our world seems to make sense. It’s as if the people around us are living in an alternate reality, vastly different from the one that you and I live in. And, it is that insanity that will destroy the world.
Worse, the insanity is so great, so broad and so deep, that pointing it out to those who suffer from it, will get you nowhere. They are caught in the grip of madness, and we would do well to stay as far from its grasp as possible.
If you think that you aren’t vulnerable, think again.
It’s only natural to assume that it’s going to happen – especially if the Assad regime in Syria goes down.
In fact, it is widely perceived as something that Ahmadinejad and Khamenei want. It would solidify religious and nationalist support within Iran and earn support for them from countries hostile to the US.
And, it’s hard to believe that the US Navy could effectively keep the Strait of Hormuz open to tanker traffic. It doesn’t take much to sink a tanker, and the shipping lane is only six miles wide.
Why, I could close the Strait with twelve Katyusha rockets and a rusty pickup truck.
It’s good to see that Congress has not completely forgotten the threat of an EMP attack, or another Carrington Event. If you have a moment, tell your Congressman that it is vital that he/she vote yes to this important bill.
Here’s an article from Reza Kahlili, and I strongly encourage you to read it and act on it:
The first thing they will notice is there is no power. Another damn power outage, they will grumble — but then again, there has been no storm. Confused, some will try to call for information, but the phones will be down. The TV, the radio — nothing, no reception.
