Never Trust a Teacher

I love teachers, and I am one. My wife is one. Teachers are great, and we need them. But, you should never trust what they teach you.

And yes, that includes myself.

Why?

Deception.

There are too many corrupt, lying liars who are posing as good-hearted and well-meaning pastors, seminarians, theologians, professors, instructors, writers and YouTubers. And, some of these ‘lying liars’ don’t know that they are a source of lies. They have deceived themselves, and are passing that deception on to you. And, that deception is killing us.

WEEKEND SHOCKCAST: Our Sin Runs Through It

As I look back on this week, I see a theme that runs through it – our sinfulness. We have made compromises on the truth. We have compromised our morality. And, we have chosen pastors who do the same.

Our Sin

We have sinned against God. So, God has turned us over to Satan for the destruction of the flesh (1 Corinthians 5:5).

We have chosen pastors that will scratch our itching ears (2 Timothy 4:3). And, our pastors have chosen the way of cowardice, instead of truth.

Well, I received an article from Sheila Zilinsky that speaks directly to that subject, and she gave me permission to share it with you.
