Christians have been talking about the Great Tribulation from the moment that Christ proclaimed its coming. It will be the most horrifying and awful moment in time, since the beginning of Creation. It will be so bad, that you would rather die than go through it.
That is COMPLETELY understandable.
Likewise, it is completely understandable to want to know how long the Great Tribulation is. If you are going to go through it, you’d like to know how long it will last.
Horrible times are always more bearable, when you know when they will end.
The Bible offers up quite a few examples of people who faced some of the same challenges that we will soon face, as these Last Days accelerate. Men and women throughout the Bible were tested in their resolve to believe God and obey Him. And, the Bible records these successes – in enough detail to draw strength from their example.
One of those examples is Gideon (pronounced in Hebrew: GEED-ohn). He was a nobody, with faith in God. That made him a ‘somebody’ in God’s eyes, an enough of a ‘somebody’ to be used by God to demonstrate the power of God.
My hope is that we will take these examples to heart, as we gaze into a terrifying future.
More and more people are beginning to realize that the Pre-Tribulation Rapture Theory has no scriptural basis. This is wonderful to hear, for those of us who love the Bible and are horrified by those who twist it. Even better, people are producing books and videos explaining why they have left the pretrib view.
I stumbled over one such video this week, and it encouraged me to dig deeper. My digging uncovered a few more resources for you to look at.
Unfortunately, whenever I do this, I come under Satanic attack. And, this week was no exception.
Donald Trump has essentially won the Republican Party nomination, and many rejoice over this. It’s a great victory, and I have been highly critical The Donald’s opponents in this contest.
But, will The Donald really change anything?
He might make some important changes. We’ll certainly feel better about our government, should he survive to take the White House. But, there’s a far deeper issue, and it’s even connected to last week’s review of ‘The Rapture Verdict‘ by Michael Snyder.
It’s about you and me.
Remember. You can’t fix a spiritual problem with political solutions.
We are approaching the beginning of the 50th year of the Last Days. They began on June 7th, 1967, and Jesus said that the Last Days would not last longer than a generation.
Are there just 20 years left?
Are there LESS than 20 years left?
THAT, of course, is in the hands of God, but one thing that should concentrate out minds is the meaning of a 50th Year. Seven sevens is forty nine, and we are finishing the forty ninth year of the Last Days.
But, the 50th?
The 50th year is special. It has a name. We have Greek-ized it and call it Jubilee. But, it is more correctly:
Yuval (pronounced: yew-val)
I believe that this marks the beginning of the Last of the Last Days.
I stand amazed at the speed with which tyranny grows and the ignorance that has allowed it to prosper. We abandoned clear thought and sound ideas for the dubious illusions of our ‘advanced’ civilization. We will reap the reward for that all too soon, because yes, there is a God, and He is not amused by our foolishness.
God is even less amused by our willingness to condemn the innocent and forget the truth.
God left us with carefully worded messages that lay out the future and His plans, but we no longer read the Bible. So, we can no longer see what is coming.
This week was one of those quiet moments in time in between waves of awful news – a moment that allows you to put awful events into perspective, as well as talk about other issues that need to be addressed. There is, after all, a bigger picture and more things going on in the world than Ebola, World War III and the fall of the American Empire.
So, as the next wave of pandemic, war and financial collapse gathers itself for another attempt to swamp our lives with awful news, we have the opportunity to connect some other dots and look at other problems.
I truly hope that you are concerned about Ebola. Otherwise, you would have to be brain-dead, and that’s not a good situation to be in. The problem is that Ebola is just one of a HUGE number of problems that are almost too much to think about.
This is why, as you look at the future, please consider what ELSE is out there, ready to pounce. These are the Last Days, and the Four Horsemen ride the Earth. Empires will fall, and rise again. Wars and violence will consume the Earth. There will be disease and natural disaster. Billions will die.
I want to believe that America can be rescued. I want America to be that shining city on a hill that beckons the nations of the world to truth, righteousness and freedom. I want her to be one nation under God. I want her to be the country that demonstrates the love of Christ to the world.
Unfortunately, America is NOT that country, and cannot be that country unless the Body of Christ in America turns from their wickedness, asks forgiveness from God and sincerely follows the Lord, in humility and truth.
Until that happens, there can be no hope of rescue for our beloved country. And, I do not see evidence that any of this is happening. If I did, I would be far more optimistic.
By now, most of you have probably figured out that where you live is not safe. And, you face the challenge of what to do about that. As I have said repeatedly…
…if you can’t trust your neighbors, it’s time to get new ones.
And, getting new neighbors means moving to a place where you CAN trust your neighbors, or where situation isn’t so dire – or both.
I recommend the ‘both’ part, but that means leaving the United States – a very daunting prospect for anyone with an ounce of sanity. But, I am an example of someone who has done that, and – by the grace of God – lived to tell the tale.
So, let me take this time to tell my own story of relocation.
