We Forgot that God is JUST

One of the most pernicious movements to sweep the church is this idea that God is a kindly old man who wouldn’t hurt a fly and is willing and ready to overlook any and all sin. Along with it came an easy-believism and permission to ‘follow your heart’.

Truth was optional, and the Old Testament didn’t reflect God, anymore.

What we forgot in the process was that God doesn’t change. Ever. We forgot that the sins that made Him angry four thousand years ago, make Him angry today.

We forgot that God is JUST.

2019 – The Difficult Year

At the beginning of January, it is a tradition to try and forecast the events of the coming year. And, I’ve tried to do that, every year, with limited success. Timing is not my strength, as I have demonstrated over the past few years. Having said that, there aren’t many who have done any better. So, I’m in good company.

However, there is one thing that I can predict with a great deal of confidence:

2019 will be difficult.

My fear is that this will be a great understatement. I certainly hope that it will be smooth sailing with perfect sunsets and fields of green. But, don’t bet on it.

Fear God

With the unusual events of this past week and an impromptu family reunion in central Taiwan, I find myself on a different topic than what I wanted to talk about.

However, it is so much more important than the destruction of our civilization that it’s like the difference between night and day. And, I find that our churches have destroyed themselves because they do not do the one thing that would keep them safe:

Fear God.

We serve God and follow God, because we love Him. But, we keep ourselves pure and holy because we fear Him.

And yes, we need both.

In the Footsteps of Jeremiah

Poor Jeremiah was a righteous man who did his very best to warn the people of God, to repent and escape the wrath that God was going to pour out upon Judah. Some listened and saved themselves, but most did not. And, Jeremiah had to watch the rebels among God’s people destroy themselves and everyone around them.

For those who are giving warning to the Body of Christ, to repent and escape the wrath of God, you are walking in the footsteps of Jeremiah. Some of our brothers and sisters will repent and escape. Most will not.

Another Week Closer to the End

Some very serious issues have reared their ugly heads this week, and it points out how rapidly we are racing to the end of our age:

  • The Impeachment of Trump
  • Hardcore Pornography on American Television
  • A Grand Solar Minimum
  • The Betrayal of Israel

Those four things are linked to the destruction of America and Western Civilization. They spell doom for everything that you consider to be normal and natural in your daily life.

I have to keep reminding myself that we should have been expecting all this. But, it’s one thing to know that a thing is coming.

It’s something else to actually SEE IT.

Chinese Irony

Living in Taipei, you’d think that I would talk about China more than I do. And, it’s true that I certainly have more experience with the Chinese than most. I’ve taught Chinese students, and my wife is Chinese by culture and Taiwanese by birth. I also like the Chinese. They’re full of interesting contradictions and foibles. They’re not as polished or as sophisticated as those of us from the West, and they’re far more honest and sincere than we are. And, Chinese Christians? We can’t hold a candle to them. They are superior to us in every way. And we … Read more

God’s Judgment – Could It Be an EMP?

There can be no doubt that God will judge America. None. The evil that we have done while claiming Him as our own is nothing less than the worst kind of blasphemy. We’ve murdered our children and become the largest source of pornography in the world. We put ‘In God We Trust’ on our money and then used it to rape, pillage and plunder the world. And, don’t get me started on the spiritual and moral condition of our churches. So, there should be no question of whether God will judge. No, the question is How and When. In September … Read more

End of America – Conclusion

Making sense of biblical prophecy is an incredible struggle. The Bible gives you a box of puzzle pieces with half of them left out and a fuzzy description of what the final picture should look like. The Bible then goes on to tell you that putting this puzzle together may mean the difference between life and death. It’s not fair, right? Yeah. But, God has reasons for doing it this way, and our job is to make the best of all this and trust that He will guide us even when we make a mess of it. I’ve certainly made … Read more

End of America – Critique Part 4

I just finished watching A Lamp In The Dark, a three hour long documentary about the history of The Bible and the Roman Catholic Church’s attempts to suppress it. It is a very good movie, and one thing stands out to me – the Roman Catholic Church is VERY European. I believe that it is very much a part of the fourth beast, as opposed to being a rider of it. Having said that, this is an impression and not to be considered as ‘hard evidence’. We’ll be doing ‘hard evidence’ about the Roman Catholic Church later. Let’s get into … Read more

End of America – Critique Part 3

In this part, I go through chapters five through thirteen. Why so fast? Well, John Price, the author really hasn’t left me all that much to say. In fact, I spend most of my time amplifying what he is saying. My own personal experience and knowledge verifies what is said here and in the book. Those of you who are regular readers of my writing know that this is not a frivolous statement. Please read the book and then follow its advice. You and your family will be glad that you did. ———————————– CHAPTER FIVE – WHAT WILL THE DAUGHTER … Read more
