We find the term, Jacob’s Trouble, in Jeremiah 30:7. And, it’s placed in the midst of a chapter that speaks of great calamity and great salvation. And, it is because of that great judgment and calamity, that we think of Jacob’s Trouble as being a part of The Great Tribulation.
After all, ‘trouble’ and ‘tribulation’ are similar words. And, Jeremiah 30:7 mentions the trouble as there being none like that day. So, it’s easy to assume that Jacob’s Trouble and the Great Tribulation are the same.
You’d be wrong, but you would have a good excuse for being wrong.
Donald Trump just did the one thing that I did not expect him to do:
Recognize Jerusalem as the Capital of Israel
He promised to do that during his campaign, and he delivered on that promise. And, I’m not used to American Presidents doing that – especially, when it comes to Jerusalem.
The side-effect of this event, will be a heating up of conflict in the Middle East and an acceleration of The Last Days. I believe that this is a very big deal, and I suspect that you will agree, when you see the evidence that I see.
The drumbeat for war is accelerating. And, it is NOT a coincidence that the financial system appears to be ready for a complete collapse.
Bix Weir said that this financial collapse will happen within the next four months, and the evidence indicates that he’s right. And, others have echoed his sentiments. Of course, he and these same ‘others’ have made this prediction before – and were wrong. The reason why they were wrong is solely due to the herculean efforts by the banksters to artificially prop up the financial system.
However, there is a limit to how long they can keep the system from collapse. And, if they see a collapse coming… well …they’ll take us to war.
It should be clear to all of you by now, that I am NOT a Dispensationalist. In fact, I didn’t really understand what dispensationalism was, until a friend ambushed me one day in church – demanding to know if I followed such an idea.
If the war in Syria was just an uprising by a people unhappy with the rule of the Assad family, this would have been over by now. And, we would all sit around our coffee tables and shake our heads at how terrible the conflict was.
As I said yesterday, it isn’t a normal civil war or anything like the violent uprisings that we’ve been used to in the past. This is an apocalyptic war to the death, and there can be no winners, except the global elites… and… eventually… the Antichrist.
There’s been another move in the global chess match between the West and the East. As America and the EU fumble about for effective ways to respond to Russia’s annexation of Crimea, Russia has leaped forward with another move:
I was a little be surprised by this gambit being played so soon. And, it means that the situation might be accelerating far more quickly than we imagined. Of course, Russia may feel the need to move so quickly, in order to out-maneuver the carefully laid plans of the western elites.
For more than 25 years, I have been looking for signs of the next stage in the fulfillment of a prophecy – the one written about in Ezekiel 36-39. (And yes, those chapters should be looked at together as one prophecy.) We’ve seen the land of Israel change and become fruitful. We saw the return of Israel to the land. What we have not seen is the purifying of Israel that comes after that. And, that cleansing will not come until AFTER the coming of a terrible army and the Battle of Gog and Magog.
Obama’s speech on Syria last night was incredibly difficult to listen to. It was ambivalent. It was full of vacillation. It was insincere. And… the lies. It was full of lies from beginning to end.
Worse, Obama’s firm ambivalence and unwavering vacillation has made the situation in Syria worse. More weapons will flow into the hands of the rebels AND the Syrian government. More civilians will die. And, in the end, both Russia and the US will have been pulled deeper into this conflict.
