I always predict that the next year will be interesting, and I’m always right. Well, I’m always right on that word, ‘interesting’. The rest of my predictions tend to be less than accurate.
So, interesting events will abound. The question is whether they will be sufficiently benign for you to survive them. I suspect that the body count won’t escalate until we hit 2018. But, the wreckage of the financial system might leave you with very little to show for all of your hard work.
But, let’s take a few moments to look at what I think about the coming year.
It’s Christmas Eve Eve. You would think that evil would have some holiday spirit and take a break. But no, evil is hard at work as you make last minute gift choices.
We’ve had a profoundly disturbing vision from teenager. Fake News is still in ‘The News’. There is yet more evidence that Peak Oil really has peaked. India is crashing and burning in truly spectacular fashion. Russia rises in power. #Pizzagate revelations just keep coming. The Trumpageddon apocalypse keeps rolling on. Italian banks threaten the world. Muslims continue to rampage in their attempt to set the world on fire. Russia, Syria and Iran are winning.
Palestinian Muslims have been persecuting Christians from day one, and that persecution has driven out almost all the Christians from Bethlehem. Those that are left are a die-hard few that may be forced to leave – or die – as the persecution of Christians increases.
Yet, you will hear none of this in the mainstream media.
And, as this persecution reared its awful head, the leadership of Bethlehem begged Israel to take over. Israel wanted to help, but the world demanded that Israel step aside.
Islam has become a scourge upon the world, something that is easy to see in Bethlehem, the birthplace of our Lord and Savior.
Things seemed to have slowed a bit. Though we had a terrorist attack last week, the horror appears to have slithered away for a bit. It’s just so difficult to get the sheeple all upset in December. So, I’m not expecting much over the next two weeks.
This doesn’t mean that nothing will happen. LOTS is going on. In fact, you should expect big political moves to happen over the next few weeks, because this is the time of year when people really aren’t paying attention.
We rejoice that our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ was born more than two thousand years ago. But, it wasn’t His birth that we really celebrate.
No, it was His sacrifice for us.
We do not deserve it, but I’m not complaining. I’m just grateful that a foolish sinner like myself was chosen to be a child of God.
I know that there is some controversy over this day, but I believe that any time that we glorify God… well …it is a good thing. So, even those of you who do not celebrate Christmas, at least join me in glorifying God.
