Well, I finally made it back to Israel, after being away for a year and a half. After a peaceful existence in Taipei, returning to the stress of Jerusalem has been difficult. Israel is a country under siege, and part of the reason for that is the disaster that we all face.
Some of what happened over the past week has been more than a little shocking. We knew that it had to come, but that knowledge did little to lessen the shock. What I’m talking about is the cutoff of gas to 60% of Europe, and the decoupling of the Swiss Franc from the Euro.
I didn’t do an article yesterday because I needed to spend time doing research. I had an idea that Peak Oil was still out there, ready to spring on us, after hearing Steve St. Angelo talk about fracking hype. But, I needed to make sure.
Unfortunately, now I’m sure.
Peak Oil is alive and well on planet Earth, and it is about to combine with three different disaster cycles to do unimaginable damage to us. And, just like the crises of the recent past, we’ve papered over the problem with debt and lies. And now, this downward spiral is going to turn into a catastrophe.
I personally don’t like the idea of cycles. I also don’t like the idea of death and destruction, but it’s coming. And, God didn’t ask me for my opinion on how the future should be laid out.
The problem is that the truth can paint an ugly picture, but since it’s the truth… well, we have to embrace it – no matter how much we would wish it to be different. And, this goes for the whole idea of cycles.
War and finance exist within a cyclical paradigm, and therefore it is our duty to understand that paradigm, so that we can serve God and help those around us.
