The Bible offers up quite a few examples of people who faced some of the same challenges that we will soon face, as these Last Days accelerate. Men and women throughout the Bible were tested in their resolve to believe God and obey Him. And, the Bible records these successes – in enough detail to draw strength from their example.
One of those examples is Gideon (pronounced in Hebrew: GEED-ohn). He was a nobody, with faith in God. That made him a ‘somebody’ in God’s eyes, an enough of a ‘somebody’ to be used by God to demonstrate the power of God.
My hope is that we will take these examples to heart, as we gaze into a terrifying future.
Karen J sent an email, asking me to talk about Zionism. Then others challenged me on other issues about Israel. So, I find myself – yet again – addressing the most important patch of land in the world.
And, it is vital that you get this.
Jesus spoke of Jerusalem – also known as Zion – as a key identifier of the Last Days. The prophets of the Old Testament who are the biggest source of information on the Last Days, also write about the physical land of Israel being key to the Last Days.
Yet, there are so many lies being told about Israel, that I am forced at least once a year to dispel the lies being told about a place that I lived in for 15 years.
Many Christians now realize that we live in the Last Days. It’s a reluctant acknowledgement because no one really wants to go through the horrors that await us. We shy away from contemplating the wholesale destruction of our civilization, but it comes, no matter how we feel about it.
However, those of you who have come to the realization that we live in the last days must now think more carefully about WHERE we are in the Last Days. So many lies have been preached that it’s hard to even SEE the Last Days at all.
We are approaching the beginning of the 50th year of the Last Days. They began on June 7th, 1967, and Jesus said that the Last Days would not last longer than a generation.
Are there just 20 years left?
Are there LESS than 20 years left?
THAT, of course, is in the hands of God, but one thing that should concentrate out minds is the meaning of a 50th Year. Seven sevens is forty nine, and we are finishing the forty ninth year of the Last Days.
But, the 50th?
The 50th year is special. It has a name. We have Greek-ized it and call it Jubilee. But, it is more correctly:
Yuval (pronounced: yew-val)
I believe that this marks the beginning of the Last of the Last Days.
If you suffer from such a doubt, read on. But, let me warn you:
You will NOT like what you see.
God chose us to live at this pivotal moment in time. He needed representatives to show His people the way to eternal safety, in the days of suffering that lie ahead. We were chosen for this. You and me.
We just had the anniversary of the beginning of the days that we live in, and we need to remember it, every year.
Because it means that we are one year closer to our final mission.
Waves of antisemitism have swept Europe, the Americas and the Middle East for centuries. This psychological defect has poisoned the minds of many and provided fertile ground for evil men and women who delight in oppressing the innocent.
Unfortunately, many in the alternative media have been captured by this ancient evil. Worse, this new wave of antisemitism has clouded clear thought and obscured the evil designs of the enemy.
Far worse than that, followers of Christ have allowed themselves to be turned away from what God says. The Bible clearly states that God has not forgotten the physical children of Jacob. God will bring Jacob back to Himself, and we risk the wrath of God – if we oppose what God is so clearly doing.
No one likes to be told that they are no longer the focus – that their time has passed. Think of all the has-been rock stars that make come-back attempts – or, the empires that make last-ditch efforts to rekindle what once was.
But, when God says it’s over…
And, when you say the words Last Days, that really is what you are saying. It’s over, and it’s time for the final scene. And, when I look back over the events that brought us to this point in time, I see that 1967 really was that moment in time, when The End began.
Over the past few months, I’ve been hitting you with one series after another. So, you’re probably glad that I’ve given you something of a breather, this week. I’m also glad because a series is a lot more work than a bunch of individual articles. We’ll see how long this ‘breather’ lasts.
Unfortunately, this is probably the calm before a storm. The Fall seems to be the time when most banks decide to fail, and markets catch cold when investors come back from Summer break and look at their portfolios. Ebola looms on the horizon. And, let’s not forget that dim-witted monkeys are still playing with matches in the bomb factory that we call Ukraine.
Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee. – Psalm 122:6
And, I find it interesting that fewer and fewer Christians are interested in praying for the peace of Jerusalem.
Is it any wonder that we no longer prosper?
As we draw closer and closer to the end of this age, fewer and fewer American Christians are interested in the peace of Jerusalem. And, as Christians turn their back on Jerusalem, God has turned His back on us. And, God has decreed that Jerusalem will be a weight that will destroy everyone that tries to carry it away.
It should be clear to all of you by now, that I am NOT a Dispensationalist. In fact, I didn’t really understand what dispensationalism was, until a friend ambushed me one day in church – demanding to know if I followed such an idea.
