A Switch To The NKJV And More Evidence That Our Civilization Is Toast

That’s it.

I can’t take it anymore.

I had been trying to read through the Bible this year, using the ESV. And, I got halfway through before giving up. There are too many errors, and some of them are deliberate. And then, there’s the issue of the ESV basing their New Testament translation on corrupt manuscripts.

It’s just too much, so I’ve finally switched to the New King James Version (NKJV). It also makes translation mistakes, but there seem to be fewer of those, and they used better manuscripts.

Why did Crossway need to be so corrupt?

Oh, and we have more evidence that our civilization is toast.

Over the Seneca Cliff into Complete Collapse – And, I Can Hardly Believe It

Just when I think that things cannot get worse, they do.

I’m literally sitting here at a loss for words. There is so much evil, so much stupidity and so much blindness to all of it, that I am almost at a loss for words. Almost.

How is it possible…

…for the media to ignore the direct, bombshell evidence that Hillary created the Russiagate hoax?

…for a high tech civilization to ignore its imminent destruction?

…for a multi-billion dollar software company to destroy its own product?

…for a tiny island to ignore absolute death, just a few miles away?

If I wasn’t watching it with my own eyes – and hearing it – I’m not sure that I would believe it, myself.

Stop Looking for Truth in All the Wrong Places

Having trouble figuring out what the truth is?

I do not blame you. Truth is hard to find, and lies are everywhere. Especially now.

So, where do you go to get the truth?

You won’t find it in the headlines. You won’t find it at school or university. Politicians won’t tell you the truth. Pastors just tell you part of it – if he has any of it to tell you. And then, there are those who try to tell the truth, but wind up mixing in the lies that they believe.

That doesn’t leave us very much to work with. But, there is one thing that we CAN do:

Look at the verifiable truth.

(Oh, and we’ll also be looking at John D. Rockefeller, Chinese Food and what’s up with The Drudge Report.)

I Ache for my Country – The Weekend Shock Letter for July 4th, 2020

July 4th is a bad time for me to find myself writing, because I think of the good things that once were and are no longer. And, most of you don’t want to read or listen to that. You really just want to celebrate, and I get that. So, I apologize for raining on any parade that you had planned. But, I just can’t help the ache that I feel, for what was lost.

There was good in us. There was bad, too, but we could still celebrate the good. It was certainly easier to find.

Why Our System Must Die – The Deadly Wound of Revelation 13

As we watch the global economy and financial system collapse around us, we need to remember that the Bible lays out the pattern that will govern events over the rest of these Last Days. According to the Bible, certain things must occur in a certain way for prophecy to be fulfilled. And, since God is in control, we know that those events WILL happen, right on time.

Our challenge is to keep what the Bible says in mind. If we use the words of God as the lens with which to view the world, we won’t be shaken by catastrophe.
