Strong Delusion – Intro

Wickedness and stupidity are contagious. If you need evidence, just look around you. Read your local newspaper. Watch television. Go to the movies. You’ll see evidence for real evil and drooling idiocy, everywhere. But, there is something stronger coming, something that God will cause.

It’s called a Strong Delusion, and it’s a phrase that is used only once in the KJV. And, it specifically refers to the Last Days. And, I have some questions.

WHEN will this strong delusion come?

WHAT will it be?

HOW will it arrive?

…and…

DO we see it now?

I’m not sure that we can answer all these questions, but maybe we can shed some light on them.

Daniel’s 70th Week

There is a deception that weaves its way through our churches and the hearts of most followers of Christ. And, this deception is deadly, especially in these dark times. It grants permission for men and women to add to the Bible, man-made ideas. It distorts our view of Jesus Christ and our understanding of the Last Days. It plays a part in putting brothers and sisters in Christ, to sleep.

Even clear-thinking brothers and sisters have fallen prey to this deception. And, I find myself extremely annoyed, every time that I hear it. And, it’s high time that we stopped this foolishness.

God Has His Reasons

When God moves in the lives of His children, the reasons may appear to be one thing, when they are completely different. You might think that you’ve crashed and burned on the shoals of capricious events. You might not see any rhyme or reason for what is happening to you, but God sees things differently. And, if you are a true follower of Christ, for long enough, you will see a lot of this.

To put it another way, nothing happens by accident. Nothing. And, I take a great deal of comfort in that, and I hope that you do too.

A Demonic, Psychedelic Sorcery

The Book of Revelation speaks of sorcerers and sorceries. It’s something that was going to be a part of The Last Days. And, the core of that word, ‘sorcery’, in the original Greek is ‘pharma’. Drugs.

We don’t normally think of sorcery as something drug-related, but the Bible says differently. And, there is something growing in the US that is directly tied to this meaning of that word.

It’s all about psychedelic drugs, and it’s about to go mainstream. They are utterly demonic, and you should stay as far away from them as you possibly can.

Sin Destroys the Mind

Looking back over the events of the past week, one thing rings clear. Corruption and insanity go together. There’s a causal link between the two, and it is corruption that is the cause. And, we even have scientific proof to back up this assertion.

We have become insane, because we have chosen sin over righteousness.

Our founding fathers knew this, and even the worst of them – Benjamin Franklin – was clear on the need for morality and ethics for our freedom to be free. But, we lost our way and traded our freedom and sanity for pretty trinkets and shiny toys.

We Chose Optimism Over Honesty

Without an honest look at what is real, there can never be a hope for the future. Never. Yes, there might be moments of accidental prosperity. From time-to-time, you might experience something above average, but you can never hold off reality.

In fact, one of the reasons why I continue to commit all of my life to Christ, is that the Bible is the clearest reflection of reality that we have. Yet, we prefer the momentary pleasures of fantasy, instead the gritty truth residing within those pages bound together and sent around the world.

We are facing the most horrific moment in a thousand years precisely because we chose optimism over honesty.

The Four Horsemen and the Grand Solar Minimum

For two thousand years, we have been pondering the ‘Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse’. They have captured our imaginations and our fears. When a new ‘would-be’ emperor rises, we wondered if HE was the guy on the white horse. When internal conflict arose, we thought of the red horseman. Scarcity and famine made us think of the black horse, and when epidemics ripped through our world, we thought of the pale horse. But, for two thousand years, we’ve been consistently wrong.

So, when do they ride?

I had reason to think about this over the past week, since the sun might be ready to throw our civilization into chaos.

Making Peace with Madness

Our world is doomed. I know that this is not something that you want to accept, and I’m with you on this one. But, it doesn’t change the fact that everyone around us is growing more and more insane by the day. And, we need to accept this fact.

I struggle with this, a lot. And, I know that you do too. You wouldn’t be a child of God, if you weren’t grieved by the wickedness and madness that surrounds you.

So, how do we keep the peace of God, while the world falls apart?

And, we are going to need to, if we truly desire to serve God in the midst of the coming darkness.

The Assault on Paul

There has been a real hatred for Paul the Apostle, from the very beginning of his ministry, until now. And, it’s a Satanic hatred that seeks to undermine the Bible and the Body of Christ.

Worst of all, recent versions of this Satanic hatred are coming from those who call themselves Christian. I’m used to hearing non-Christians attack Paul. I’ve this stuff for decades.

But, ‘christians’?

Really?

Yes, Really. And, I’m afraid that this development is going to increase as corruption within our churches also increases. Jesus spoke of these kinds of things happening in the Last Days, but it still boggles the mind to see it.

False Prophets Shall Arise

When the steam powered printing press was invented in 1843, false teaching and false prophets were given the one thing that they needed to deceive the Body of Christ. It made their profane theology available to the average person, and their books crept into seminaries everywhere. It spread corruption far and wide, to every part of the earth.

Before the printing press, Christians only had the Bible to rely upon – with the guidance of the Holy Spirit. It was too difficult and expensive for ill-conceived commentary to get very far. And now, with the Internet, corrupt ideas spread at the speed of light.
