Hope, Genocide, Terror and Conflict

On Monday, I took the Jerusalem Light Rail from end-to-end. I had suffered through too many years of streets torn up and insufferable construction delays… to pass up a chance to take the train at least once. And, it’s a great train. Little did I know that it would take me through more than a hundred years of hope, genocide, terror and conflict.

And, foolishness.  Utter foolishness.

The story of the Jewish people will be our story, if we do not pay attention to the evil that lies before us. What they did to the Jews, they will do to us.

Our enemies will be satisfied by nothing less than genocide, terror and death for all who love and serve God.

Hope, Genocide, Terror and Conflict

It was pretty good day. Of course, ANY day that allows me to spend time, idly riding a train from one end of Jerusalem to the other is very good day indeed. I don’t get very many of those.

So, I took the train.

The Jerusalem Light Rail

They began building the thing way back in 2002, and I remember it well. Too well. The noise and the traffic congestion were horrendous, but we suffered through it because they promised us the sky – or, at least a really nice transit system.

By the time I left Jerusalem in 2006, all that they had managed to accomplish was the Bridge of Strings. We called it, ‘The Bridge to Nowhere’.

But, that is the past. All is forgiven, because the train is finally running, and I finally got to ride it.

Theodor Herzl

The Jerusalem Light Rail (JLR) starts at Mount Herzl. Many of you will not know who Herzl is. He’s this guy:

Theodor Herzl

Theodor Herzl

Hope

Theodor Herzl was a Jew and originally believed that it was possible for the Jews of Europe to be emancipated and become like any other European. That belief was swept away by a furious wave of antisemitism that engulfed France and the rest of Europe. It convinced Herzl that the only way out for the Jewish people was to have a plot of land that they could claim as their own.

It was either that, or the Jewish people would be destroyed.

In his book, Der Judenstaatpublished in 1896 – Herzl proposed two places for this Jewish State:

  • Argentina
  • Palestine

Later a plan was floated to create a Jewish State in Uganda. However, all such plans failed, except for one:

  • Palestine

Herzl died before all those options were narrowed down to one, but he said this about his vision for a Jewish homeland:

The Jews who will it, shall achieve their State. We shall live at last as free men on our own soil, and in our own homes peacefully die. The world will be liberated by our freedom, enriched by our wealth, magnified by our greatness. And whatever we attempt there for our own benefit will redound mightily and beneficially to the good of all mankind.

And, my own experience with modern Israel is that they have tried to live up to that ideal, and still try.

Tragedy And Terror

Unfortunately, that ideal became the origins of a tragedy, because the Arabs who lived in the area did not want to be liberated, enriched or magnified. The Jews brought education, healthcare, sanitation and freedom from the scourge of Malaria. The Jews planted trees and cleaned up the rivers. They turned awful swamps into lush farmland.

The Jews turned the Land of Israel into a garden of Eden, and the Arabs did nothing but try to kill them for it.

Genocide

But, there’s another tragedy.

When he died in 1904, they buried Theodor Herzl at the top of Mt. Herzl. Down the mountain, towards the West, lies another memorial:

Yad Vashem

Its name comes from Isaiah 56:5 and means ‘Memorial and Name’ (although Yad normally means hand in Modern Hebrew), and it is the memorial to the six million Jews who died at the hands of Hitler and his collaborators. Herzl – and those who came after him – warned the Jews to flee Europe, but the Jews didn’t listen – so, they died.

A Holocaust For Christians

The record of all who died in the Holocaust are at Yad Vashem. And, it is my hope that – as the forces of Antichrist rise in the world – we will not find your name written in a future memorial, to a future holocaust for Christians.

I –and many others -are warning brothers and sisters in Christ to flee this coming holocaust. My hope is that you will listen and act, before it is too late. I do not look forward to the building of a Christian Yad Vashem.

Back On The Train

But, let’s get back to my train ride.

The track for the Jerusalem Light Rail winds its way past the neighborhoods of Yefeh Nof, Beit HaKerem and Kiryat Moshe – before going past the Central Bus Station. The JLR then goes past the Mahane Yehuda Market (we call it ‘The Shuk’), and then it makes its way through the center of town, to the Old City – the real Jerusalem.

Utter Foolishness

That’s where the trip through foolishness begins – Arab foolishness. I’ve alluded to the foolishness of the Arabs before. I’ve talked about the amazing prosperity that the Jews have brought to the Arabs. I’ve talked about how a little Jewish guy named Israel Kligler conquered Malaria so that 9 out of 10 Arab children didn’t have to die of mosquito-borne disease. I’ve often referred to the amazing level of health-care and education provided by the Jews – to the Arabs.

There’s more that I could write on the subject, but suffice it to say that none of that was enough for the Arabs. And, it will never be enough, until every Jewish man, woman and child is dead. I wish that this statement was hyperbole, but it is nothing less than the truth. And, those who once came for the Jews are now coming for you.

Please understand that ISIS is NOT an aberration. It is the fullest and clearest expression of the heart of ‘moderate Islam’. And, I saw evidence of that as the train wove its way through the Arab towns, north of the Old City of Jerusalem.

Why can’t the Arabs live in peace with Israel?

Why can’t the Arabs accept the amazing prosperity that they enjoy – along with their freedom of worship?

Why do they insist on violence?

Islam – The Death-Cult

Of course, the answer lies with the death-cult that is called Islam, a religion that demands the suffering and death of all who do not worship Allah. It lies in the belief that the surest way to heaven lies in dying for Islam, as you kill for Islam.

Here is what Hamas says of all Palestinians:

We are a people that love death for the sake of Allah, as much as our enemies love life.

Interesting, to say the least.

Why do I mention all that?

Because, along the JLR route, you didn’t see any police presence, except when the track went through the towns of Bab Al-Zahra, Sheikh Jarah, Shu’afat and Beit Hanina. The Arabs have chosen fools to represent them. They have chosen violence and death as their guide. And, they have chosen to stand against God.

Oh, and just as a reminder…

What is it that the Arabs demand in return for Peace?

Jerusalem.

What is the OTHER name for Jerusalem?

Zion.

What is it that God promised to do for Israel, in the Land of Israel?

Salvation.

Read Ezekiel 36 and 37 to find out, or go here:

And, as I have said before, Jerusalem is the sign of the beginning of the Last Days. Read more about that here:

Do Not Oppose God

My hope is that you will not be distracted by the foolishness of the Palestinians, in their opposition to what God is doing in the Land of Israel. God is at work here, and you must not oppose it.

It is never safe to oppose the work of God.

Better yet, submit yourself to what God is doing and support those who would do the same. Miracles are happening in the Land of Israel, and even more are yet to come.

The Warning

And then, let me take you back to the warning that lies at the beginning of the track for the Jerusalem Light Rail. Yad Vashem should stand as a stark reminder of the consequences of ignoring the kind of warning that I am giving you.

A Holocaust is coming.

Are you going to be ready?

I truly hope that you’ll be ready for this
(That’s a link. There’s not much time left.)

A prudent man foreseeth the evil, and hideth himself: but the simple pass on, and are punished.Proverbs 22:3
