I didn’t actually want to write about Biblical interpretation this week. There were so many other things that were happening, that it seemed a dereliction of duty to speak on this topic. But, I also realized that without a clear view of the Bible, everything that I write would be useless.
Without a clear direction by God, we have no hope of surviving what is coming. In fact, it will take a miracle, and we cannot expect miracles if we are not truly resting in His Word.
How can we say that we truly love God, if we twist His words?

I am shocked and appalled at the willingness of our brothers and sisters to take the words of God and try to make them say something that they do not. This pride and lack of love for God is a true abomination, and it grieves me terribly to see it.
Humble yourself before God and seek His word at His mouth. Do NOT turn to your own understanding. You must love Him and cherish Him with all of your being.
Only then will you have ANY hope of surviving to serve Him in the dark and terrible future that is coming.
My hope is that I will see all of you on the other side of this first series of disasters that comes – and that we will work together to serve God in whatever He calls us to do.
I truly hope that you’ll be ready for this

WEEKEND SHOCKCAST: Twisting the Bible
So, what did we talk about this week?
This week we talked about the attempt to make the Bible say something that it does not. People have always been trying to do this, but it accelerated in the 1800s with the industrial printing press. We’ve also inserted our carnal intellect into the process of interpretation, and that made everything worse. That has led people like John MacArthur to say things like, taking the Mark of the Beast won’t necessarily send you to Hell. Others have resisted God’s work in the Land of Israel in their hatred of Israel and the Jewish people. However, there are those who understand the need to love God and revere His words for what they are.
So, let’s talk about that.

The Articles That You Will Find in This WEEKEND SHOCKCAST
On Friday, I was horrified to hear two preachers repeat and reaffirm an abominable heresy that will lead their followers to a certain decision – one that will result in an eternity in Hell. And, these were two preachers that I liked and respected.
I am still shocked and outraged, but I’ve had time to reflect on how and why they came to believe and preach such an abomination. It is as natural as it is awful, and my hope is that you will avoid their errors by submitting yourself to the direction of the Holy Spirit as you read your Bible.
Someone wrote to agree with what I talked about yesterday and said:
But the tech itself is not bad; it’s the leverage
Well said, Steve – very well said. Technology isn’t the problem. WE are the problem.
All that technology has done is act as a lever to magnify the efforts of our sinful nature. Technology is the lever, and it is our hand wielding this lever.
Furthermore, I see that this lever has been used to pry us away from the Holy Spirit. We have quenched the Spirit, and that has left us vulnerable to foolish doctrines that have led some pastors to preach damnable heresy.
What I’m going to write about now plays a big part in what drives me to write almost every day. We have been set up for the coming of the Antichrist and his vile system, and it makes me ill to see it. And, we have gladly embraced this deception.
It’s understandable that we would do this. Truth is unpleasant, and obedience is difficult. And, we are ALL creatures of pride and self-indulgence. And yes, I really do place myself in those categories.
The problem is that the lies that we have embraced are destroying us. Now is the time to embrace the truth and obey God.
It is almost too late.
THURSDAY – Twisting the Bible – Part 4 – Israel
It should be clear to all of you by now, that I am NOT a Dispensationalist. In fact, I didn’t really understand what dispensationalism was, until a friend ambushed me one day in church – demanding to know if I followed such an idea.
In fact, I’m not sure what ‘ism’ that I do ‘follow’. A friend once called me a Biblicist, and I was confused by that, because I thought that all Christians should be ‘Biblicists’.
Well, since I addressed dispensationalist Bible-twisting yesterday, I’m afraid that it’s time to address non-dispensationalist Bible-twisting. And, for some strange reason, non-dispensationalists seem to be almost always anti-Israel.
After looking at what I’ve said up to this point, I wondered about what I should say next. The world is full of examples of how NOT to do something. In fact, I am even an example foolishness and bad behavior. Just ask my poor, long-suffering wife.
So, I thought that I would ask you a question and talk about a man that I respect a lot – Pastor David Lankford. Having heard his willingness to restrict himself to what the Bible actually says, I am confident that this is a man who is a living, breathing example of someone who loves God.
Do you love God?
Are you ready for this?
